Maine CASA

The Mission of the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association, together with its state and local members, is to support and promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children so that they can thrive in safe, permanent homes.

Description:
Maine CASA is responsible for the recruitment, training, support and management of all court appointed special advocates statewide. Our advocates are specially appointed by judges to be the eyes and ears of the court and to report back to the court as to what is in the best interests of the child.

History:
Maine CASA was established in 1985 and has consistently grown to help provide safe, permanent homes for abused and neglected children throughout Maine.
