Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Good Shepherd Food-Bank is forming a team to glean fields across the state. Fresh produce is wasted every year and this is our chance to get some locally grown and nutritious food onto the tables of Mainers in need.

We need people across the state to join our Gleaning Army and sign up for our mailing/call list. Once dates and locations are determined we will coordinate to meet at various farms in Maine and fill our trucks with fresh veggies.

Expect to spend some time picking and lifting and we'll provide the barbecue!

You should be able to lift roughly 30-50 pounds but if you can't we can probably find something for you to do to help.
