Volunteer Opportunity Details:
The Maine Long Term Care Ombudsman Program advocates for consumers of long term care services in Maine. An Ombudsman is a specially trained advocate who is given authority under federal and Maine law to investigate and resolve complaints made by, or on behalf of, long-term care consumers. We ask that all volunteers make a one year commitment to the program....Attend a one day training session...Are able to visit their facility at least two times each month...are available to attend quarterly regional meetings and trainings with other Volunteer Ombudsmen. ![]() This opportunity is sponsored by: The Maine Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
