This workshop will provide information to participants about the many benefits of becoming a volunteer. Topics such as finding volunteer opportunities, identifying your skills, and links between volunteering and employment will be discussed. The workshop will also provide information about volunteer opportunities in National Service programs such as AmeriCorps and Vista. Information about education awards, stipends and living allowances provided through these programs will be shared. The workshop is free, but pre-registration is required by August 1, 2009.
