VT Engage Logo

Virginia Tech created a new volunteer program called VT-ENGAGE to encourage volunteerism and enhance the relationship and partnership efforts between the university and the community.

United Way and VT-Engage are community partners in an effort to match volunteers with organizations needing volunteer help by utilizing an online system called Volunteer Solutions.  You can use Volunteer Solutions to find volunteer opportunities and/or post the volunteer needs of your group.

Volunteers: We encourage you to register and complete a volunteer profile so you can receive email alerts about opportunities you would like. Click here to register.

Non-Profits: Register your group's volunteer and donation needs so you can receive email alerts about matches to help you. Agencies and organizations, click here to register.

VT-ENGAGE reaffirms Virginia Tech's commitment to service worldwide and helps people actively live out its motto, Ut Prosim, That I May Serve – established in 1896.

If you live outside the New River Valley area, simply enter the zip code of your community in the U.S. and opportunities listed closest to you will be listed.

Circle Toward Wholeness is committed to providing innovative programming for inner peace. We believe peace begins with the individual. There are thousands of tools to support us on our individual paths to inner peace. CTW connects trained facilitators who are passionate about a tool they've used with people who want to learn with them.

Description:
Circle Toward Wholeness is committed to offering accessible programs to the general public which support the development of inner peace and awareness.

  1. It is our belief that the greatest barrier to personal and community transformation is the lack of infrastructure.
  2. We're on a mission to provide spaces for people to slow down, think deeply, clarify purposes and build relationships.
  3. Wherever you already are - neighborhoods, schools, businesses - we'll bring our programs to your door.
  4. We'll gather to practice life awareness, wellness and communication skills that will empower each of us to be the change we wish to be, one step at a time.
  5. Programs are currently on VT campus, mostly in the Graduate Life Center. Please join us on facebook or sign up for our e-newsletter on our website for more information. Programs are listed on the website.
