Virginia Tech created a new volunteer program called VT-ENGAGE to encourage volunteerism and enhance the relationship and partnership efforts between the university and the community.
United Way and VT-Engage are community partners in an effort to match volunteers with organizations needing volunteer help by utilizing an online system called Volunteer Solutions. You can use Volunteer Solutions to find volunteer opportunities and/or post the volunteer needs of your group.

Video Project
Volunteer Opportunity Details:
United Way of Montgomery, Radford & Floyd seeks a videographer with equipment to shoot footage at our Community Partner of activities and interviews with agency representatives regarding United Way's impact. The end result would be a training video to show to new volunteers, including Board of Directors members, as well as to have footage on hand for public service announcements and other purposes. Volunteers for this project simply need to be videographers with adequate experience, equipment and materials to complete the job.
