VT Engage Logo

Virginia Tech created a new volunteer program called VT-ENGAGE to encourage volunteerism and enhance the relationship and partnership efforts between the university and the community.

United Way and VT-Engage are community partners in an effort to match volunteers with organizations needing volunteer help by utilizing an online system called Volunteer Solutions.  You can use Volunteer Solutions to find volunteer opportunities and/or post the volunteer needs of your group.

Volunteers: We encourage you to register and complete a volunteer profile so you can receive email alerts about opportunities you would like. Click here to register.

Non-Profits: Register your group's volunteer and donation needs so you can receive email alerts about matches to help you. Agencies and organizations, click here to register.

VT-ENGAGE reaffirms Virginia Tech's commitment to service worldwide and helps people actively live out its motto, Ut Prosim, That I May Serve – established in 1896.

If you live outside the New River Valley area, simply enter the zip code of your community in the U.S. and opportunities listed closest to you will be listed.

Program Hospitality- provide support for our Program Facilitators

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 11, 2009

Working closely with Program Facilitators and Community Program Hosts, this volunteer team excels at feeding the senses what is required for successful studies of inner peace. Whether it be preparing tea and snacks, providing peaceful music, specifically arranging seating, or welcoming participants as they arrive, hospitality supports the facilitator and the eventual success of each event by being aware and present to the appropriate atmosphere required.
Volunteering means you attend programs of your choice for no charge. Volunteering helps Circle Toward Wholeness provide tools for inner peace to people where they already are (in workplaces, businesses and neighborhoods). With your help we can provide more and more programs at more and more locations!

Volunteers will receive on-site training. Background check is required.
