Mid-State VNA & Hospice
The goal of Mid-State VNA & Hospice is to support patients/families - medically, emotionally, and spiritually - as they approach the end of their lives. The Hospice Program emphasizes the value of life and regards dying as a natural process. Services are most often provided in the home and focus on symptom managment and the provision of emotional and spiritual support, so that patients can live in comfort and maintain control over the events of their lives.
Description:
Mid-State VNA & Hospice provides quality of life care and support for patients afflicted by an incurable illness with the intention that they may live life as fully as possible with complete autonomy. As a hospice organization, we recognize dying as a part of the normal process of living. We offer hospice as palliative care to terminally ill patients and their families without regard for age, gender, nationality, race, creed, sexual orientation, disability, diagnosis, availability of a primary caregiver, or ability to pay
History:
For over 90 years, Mid-State VNA & Hospice has been providing in-home hospice palliative care to patients with incurable diseases/illnesses. We are also affiliated with Mid-State Medical Center, Meriden.
