Volunteers Needed For Ball Game Announcers

1. We need volunteers to serve as game announcers. Announcing each player when coming to bat helps alert the coaches and recruiters so they can observe her in action. Announcers are needed on Friday from 6:00pm until 10:00pm and Sunday from noon until 6:00pm. We prefer volunteers sign up for a minimum of a 2 hour shift. Announcers will be assigned to a field, be given a copy of the teams' lineup cards, and will be seated in a heated scorekeeper's area above the concession stands.
2. We also need volunteers to serve in the College Coaches Hospitality Tent on Friday beginning at 5:00pm, on Saturday beginnig at 9:00am until 7:00pm and Sunday beginning at 9:00am until 5:00pm. Responsibilites include greeting the NCAA coaches, welcoming all the visitors to the Dalton Area, and keeping an eye on the Food & Beverages tables; alerting the Tournament staff of the need to re-stock. Again, we ask that you consider providing a minimum of a two-hour block of time.
Minimum age requirements: 12 years old. Any volunteer under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult.
The only requirements for the game announcers are being able to follow the line-up lists and speaking clearly into a microphone. Volunteers need to be able to climb a short flight of steps.
