Ongoing volunteer recruitment, training, and monitoring are a vital aspect of AWAP's work. Volunteers are used in every service area and are always in demand. Contact us to find out what volunteer opportunities might be a good fit for you. Year-round community volunteers are actively sought, especially for assisting with coverage of our 24 hour helpline. We are able to work with most schedules and do not have a time requirement. We simply take whatever you can offer. We need help in all areas of our agency!
AWAP offers full training sessions. On-the-job training is utilized by all our volunteers, interns, and new employees. Volunteers must complete a scheduled training before starting a position. An application that includes signing a Confidentiality Statement must be completed, as well as a Background Check. Volunteers for the helpline must be over 18.
This opportunity is sponsored by: Abused Women's Advocacy Project (AWAP)
