Did you know that the HOPE Festival is a wonderful place to find out about what people in the Eastern Maine communities and organizations are doing to support peace, social justice, and environmental quality? The 15th annual HOPE (Help Organize Peace Earthwide) Festival, sponsored by the Peace & Justice Center of Eastern Maine, will be held Saturday, April 25th in Orono.  The event runs from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Student Recreation Center on the University of Maine Campus in Orono.  With food from a variety of organizations, entertainment, thoughtful presentations, and the opportunity for each person to share their hopes and dreams, this year's program is stacking up to be very exciting. Volunteers are needed in a number of roles, including: o Dissemenating HOPE Festival Flyers and Posters in weeks bfore the event. o Baking for the Peace & Justice food table o Singing with the HOPE Festival Singers (check with us for a rehearsal schedule) o Assisting on April 25, the day of the HOPE Festival       * set-up for the festival from 7-10 AM       * help vendors bring in materials 9:30 -11:00       * relieve vendors at their tables 12-4       * clean-up from 4-6 PM       * assist with children's activity tables       * staff Peace & Justice food table   To volunteer, email Ilze Peterson at  info@peacectr.org.  Please include your name, contact information, and availability.   Community organizations are invited to participate in the fesival with a display.  For details or to reserve a table, go to http://peacectr.org/wp/ and click on the HOPE Festival link.    We look forward to seeing you on April 25 at the HOPE Festival!!!
