The strength of the YWCA childcare programs is the social, economic, racial, and cultural diversity among the families served. Children are taught mutual understanding through classroom activities and by example.

The YWCA serves families in a variety of situations, including parents in job training classes, families moving off welfare to entry level positions, and professional men and women from the downtown workforce.
