Description:
We recognize that our elders are faced with the "Three Plagues," loneliness, boredom, and a sense of helplessness. To combat these we have adopted The Eden Alternative as an approach to use and a philosophy to guide us.

This means our elders are able to give back, they have a reason to want to wake up each morning. Most Eden Homes have children in regularly, have pets, dogs, cats and birds to provide companionship for our elders.
Eden takes the institution out of nursing homes and makes them into habitats and homes for our elders and staff to live and work. It gives both a reason to want to get up each day. To see this in action one needs to visit an Eden Home. It will change your views, and take your breath away. It is a beautiful sight to see.

It has grown much farther into prisons, homes, and hospitals. It is an easy philosophy to learn, it is giving without expectation, making a difference in someone’s life, and giving them little "Beacons of Hope" each day.
