 Volunteers at the Blood Center provide services in many ways. Clerical assistance, filing, bulk mailings, copying materials and scheduling donors. Volunteers also help with on-site blood drives, greeting donors, managing the canteen area and assisting staff. Volunteers may also be assigned to delivering blood products to the many sites in Iowa. Volunteers 55 years old and over who enroll in RSVP are eligible for transportation and meal reimbursement. A valid driver's license is required, as appropriate. Proof of automobile insurance is required, as appropriate. Training is provided.
