Family Health Care, Inc. was established to address the health care needs of low income and Medicaid covered men and women of the North Texas area. Our mission is to secure and provide primary and preventive care for those residents unable to access the appropriate services they require.

Description:
We provide prenatal care, well men and women exams, on-site sonograms and lab, as well as treatment for hypertension and diabetes. We offer on-site contraceptives and antibiotics for clients who qualify for this program. We have a referral system to provide treatment and assessment of abnormal pap smears, pelvic, breast and testicular masses and screening mammograms. We also have a referral system for male and female sterilizations.It is staffed by advanced practice nurses, social worker and a medical director who provides direct care for high risk clients.

History:
Family Health Care, Inc. was established in 1988 to address the needs of pregnant women. We write grants to access funding for those clients without financial means and use sliding fee scales. Collaboration with faith based organizations and area health agencies allows our clients to receive care. We expanded to provide physical exams, family planning and treatment for chronic diseases to men and women.
