The United Labor Agency for Community Services provides needs and services to working people, specifically those in service and industrial areas.

Description:
In the 28 years that the Agency has been in business they have created a Harvest Basket Food Program for those 60 yrs and over and those on social security disabled, or someone that has a serious illness or injury.The program is a supplemental food program, which helps those on fixed incomes to stretch their dollars for other life needs, i.e. prescriptions,utilities, gas for their vehicle. The program is by yearly membership and a user fee is paid each time the member visits the program which is every Tuesday morning from 9a-11 a. The program is run by over 30 volunteers. The agency works with area supermarkets for the bread items it distributes. All surplus breads are given to 9 other food pantries each week.

History:
The Agency was incorporated in l980 and is the only one in the State of Indiana. There are 29 others throughout the United States to date. The agency serves all working people through it's Community Services programs. The Harvest Basket Food Program is the largest and long standing service. The health equipment loan program is a short term loan of walkers, wheelchairs, tub/shower seats, commodes and seat riser, and more. The legal clinic is an initial meeting with an attorney on the 2nd (bi-langual) and 4th Tuesday of each month.
