To provide compassionate, professional, rehabilitative, palliative and support services in the home or community setting to individuals and families in El Paso County, in order to prevent unnecessary institutionalization promote maximum independence and achieve desired health outcomes.

Description:
VNA is the only not for profit home health and hospice provider in El Paso. VNA provides services to individuals regardless of their ability to pay.

History:
VNA was established in 1967 to provide home health services to the homebound residents of the El Paso Community. This unique association was established to provide health services in the home, without regard for a patients ability to pay.
After a series of studies of local health needs in the mid 1960's the El Paso section of the National Council of Jewish Women undertook the effort to organize a local Visiting Nurse Association. Other groups involved in the planning included the Daughters of Charity of Hotel Dieu Hospital, the Social Security Administration, The El Paso County Medical Society, United Way of El Paso County, and the Texas Department of Health. VNA continues to support the El Paso Community with Home health, Hospice, Homemaker Services and Private Homecare with the same caring and compassion that started our organization in 1967.
