Description:
Bienvivir Senior Health Services is a private non-profit organization whose main objective is to enable frail elderly people to remain independent and reside in their own homes and communities for as long as it is desired and feasible. Bienvivir provides quality comprehensive healthcare services at three facilities which include;in-house doctors, clinic, pharmacy, social workers, transportation, food service, recreation therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, OT, home health, dietary, personal care and administration.

History:
Bienvivir was established in July of 1987. Bienvivir is a member of the National PACE Association, Program for all-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Pace sites are patterned after ON Lok Senior Health Services in San Francisco, California, which has been in existence for over 30 years, and was the first of its kind in the U.S. In 1986, an initiative was undertaken by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Care Financing Administration in partnership with the On Lok Senior Services and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, to identify up to ten sites throughout the U.S. that were capable of replicating On Lok. Bienvivir got its start 20 years ago, as one of those ten sites.
