CIMA Hospice's mission is to provide compassionate care and clinical excellence for our patients and families. To accomplish mission, CIMA uses the palliative-care team approach to patient management.

Description:
CIMA Hospice is a service agency that provides comfort, care and support for individuals and families dealing with life limiting illnesses. CIMA provides support and care for persons in their last phases of life so they may live as fully and comfortably as possible through appropriate care. CIMA strives to help patients and families live each day to the fullest and realize support and comfort from caregivers, family, friends and volunteers. Volunteers are needed for companionship, respite for caregivers, emotional support, bereavement, activities, clerical work, special projects and public relations.

History:
CIMA Hospice was licensed by the State of Texas (DADS) in June of 2006 and received Medicare certification in January of 2007. To date, CIMA has provided hospice services to over 530 patients and families. The name CIMA comes from a Spanish word meaning summit, peak, top or pinnacle. CIMA’s goal in 2009 is to be the pinnacle provider of hospice care in the El Paso region. To accomplish this goal, we have and will continue to assemble a team of top professionals and staff. CIMA’s growth in staff alone has increased from six employees in January 2007 to thirty employees. As a company with sister facilities in San Antonio and McAllen, we are positioned in 2009 to strategically offer comprehensive hospice services and programming, second to none in the markets where we serve our patients and families.
