Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Face The World offers Academic Semester (5-month) or Year-long (10-month) programs for International exchange students to live and attend school here in El Paso. We bring students from Thailand, Australia, China, Taiwan, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Holland and Brazil. These international students, ages 15 to 19, can apply to study in El Paso for 5 or 10 months. These students live with host families and attend schools in the Ysleta, El Paso, Socorro, Fabens and Canutillo ISD. It is a terrific way for students to improve their knowledge of English as a second language and be exposed to a new culture.

During the application and acceptance process of cultural exchange program, students are screened for academic performance, emotional maturity, they will be evaluated in their speaking ability of English.

Students come to El Paso with their own spending money and insurance. Host families are required to provide a home as they would for their own children. Host families must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check.
