The purpose of An Occasion for the Arts is to spotlight the visual and performing arts in the greater Williamsburg area and to provide a venue for artists and art lovers to meet. Additionally, the purpose is to promote the expansion of arts in the community, provide grants to area schools, and scho9larships to area art students pursuing highter education in the arts.
