Description:
The Williamsburg Botanical Garden is a small organization made up of volunteers. Currently the group maintains a 2-acre garden called the Ellipse in Freedom Park. The garden includes native plants, walking trails and gazebo complete with a green roof! While visiting the Ellipse you will experience a recreated woodland, our patriotic wildflower meadow, the butterfly garden, wetlands and so much more!
History:
The organization began in 2000 and was granted 501 c3 status in 2002. the Ellipse Garden was initiated in 2005 and completed in 2006. Future plans include adding a larger garden.
