The Colonial Virginia Chapter of the American Red Cross is actively seeking volunteers to assist in Disaster Services. You can help victims of local disasters as a member of the Disaster Action Team (DAT) and/or on large scale disasters as a member of the Disaster Services Human Resource System (DSHR). As a volunteer, you will help families who have lost their homes and their belongings to a disaster. Being a DAT or DSHR member is exciting and requires compassion, understanding and a willingness to help others in times of need. Training is required and is free of charge.
