We are looking for assistance with communication and translation of child care needs within the non-English speaking community. Your skills in conversational Spanish, Russian or other languages will allow callers to clearly express their child care needs, in their native language.
Communications will be by telephone. Your function will be to relay client needs to our referral staff and search results back to the client. In some cases, the client may need assistance with contacting child care providers.
Other ways to assist would be translation of documents and assisting us with recruitment of providers from the Latino community.
Volunteer must be 18 years of age or over. Overview training of the industry specific database will provide you with knowledge to converse with parents and caregivers looking for child care. The time requirement for this position varies. Maximum commitment would be 2-3 hours be month. Most work would be via telephone.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Child & Family Connection
