Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site offers free preparation of federal and state income tax returns to local low and moderate income families and individuals. We are looking for interested individuals who are willing to participate in the training as well as aid families in completing their tax returns. You will assist families and individuals in a more beneficial way of filing their taxes, gain the experience of preparing taxes for future purposes, are offered a flexible schedule, and obtain a sense of joy from giving to others.

Training is required and there are no volunteer limitations.

Interstate 64 to Exit 238 (Camp Peary, Rt. 143). Travel 4/10 mile to 2nd traffic signal and turn right onto Rt. 132. Travel one mile and turn right at 1st trafic signal onto US Rt. 60 (By Pass Rd.) Travel one mile and turn right at 2nd traffic signal onto Waller Mill Rd. Proceed one-half mile to Historic Triangle Community Srvices Center, 312 Waller Mill Rd. (on left just before Waller Mill Elementary School). Community Action Agency is in Suite 405 on the back right side of the building afer entering the front door.
