Volunteers are a welcome part of our programs at Bona Vista! Whether you have an afternoon, a week or a summer break from school you could become a part of our team: building for a brighter future!

Bona Vista has volunteer opportunities working with children or adults, filing and clerical work, and helping with our special events. Do you know a "handyman"? We also have opportunities for painting and yard work. Whatever your gift is, put that talent to good use!

CHILDREN'S SERVICES
Bona Vista offers a variety of needed programs and services for all children of all ages. Through our Keys for Kids Preschool all curriculums are developed by Indiana licensed teachers and instructional assistants. We also offer American Montessori classes through this facility. Our Early Head Start program meets and exceeds the governmental requirements placed on it. We are a First Steps provider and offer Early Intervention and Developmental Therapies for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

Through Positive Results For Kids, personalized care by licensed staff is provided in our therapies center or in the home. Free developmental screenings are offered periodically throughout the year in Kokomo and Peru, Indiana. Our Child Care Solutions program is free for those parents that are searching for quality child care and provides information, training and resources to child care providers.

Bona Vista Programs offers Autism Resources. Children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental delays and they may have difficulty with social and language, problematic behaviors, and building socially useful relationships and skills. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has been clinically proven to help.

ADULT SERVICES
At Bona Vista, we say we're in the business of enriching lives. And that's exactly what we do through services like WorkForce Diversity, BVI Services, Community Connections, Community Living Support and Residential Services. These programs provide our adult consumers with job skills, skills for daily living activities, independent living skills, social opportunities and more.

Our therapies program, Positive Results Therapies, enriches lives by allowing people to return to the activities they enjoy. Whether that be sporting activities, or things that many of us take for granted, such as cooking or being able to drive independently.

History:
Bona Vista has been providing services to children in the Howard County area since 1958. Today they serve over 800 children and adults on a daily basis. We continue to adapt, create and adjust programs to meet the needs of the community.
