Our mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Character building, citizenship training and physical and mental fitness are our goals for each and every youth member we serve. This goal is achieved in an atmosphere of brotherhood and fellowship, with quality adult role models and traditional family values.
Description:
Our local organization is assigned the responsibility to administer the Scouting Program in the Sagamore Council. We continue to offer young people responsible fun and adventure, training in citizenship, service, and leadership. Members of traditional programs are boys from grades 1-8 and young men and women of high school age. this includes Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing and Learning for Life.
History:
The Sagamore Council was organized and incorporated in 1973 under the law of the State of Indiana. The Council maintains a service center in Kokomo and two camps Cary Camp and Camp Buffalo.
