	You are just what we are looking for, someone with an amount of time they want to use improving Howard County for everyone.  Volunteers are a valuable resource for all non-profits, without your help, our community would not be as able to provide such a great variety of services and activities! Volunteers come in all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities.  There are opportunities for everyone, no matter what you have to offer or the amount of time you wish to share.  The trick is finding the right opportunity, an opportunity that leaves you knowing you made a difference and are appreciated. 	Day Of Caring & Blood Drive The annual community kick off event for Howard County United Way. 400+ volunteers will complete numerous projects throughout the county. The American Red Cross also participates by holding a blood drive in tandem with the event. Details Taste Of Kokomo Voted best summer event 7 years running. On August 15, 2009 from 5 pm to midnight the downtown square will be filled with food, music, children's activities and an adult beverage area. 300 volunteers are needed starting at 10:00 am with set up, through the event and then clean up. Generally, 3 hour shifts are available. Details
