Programs and Services offered at TESH:

After School Program

The After School Program promotes self-esteem by celebrating the unique abilities of each child while developing necessary life skills that promote optimum independence and success. Children involved in this program are at a crucial point in self-development. The goal of the program is to provide a one-on-one learning opportunity for each child in a positive community atmosphere.

Summer Children's Program- Camp Independence

The summer program at TESH provides opportunities for children with special needs to celebrate the days of summer with coordinated community activities such as horseback riding, swimming, hiking and boating. Campers can interact with peers in a group setting with individualized programs and direction from a life-skills coach.

Independent Living Classes

TESH's Pathways to Independence life skills training program began in 1991 providing Medicaid funded classes aimed at helping adults with developmental disabilities achieve their highest level of independence.

A variety of classes are offered including budgeting, safety skills, meal preparation, task completion, getting along with others, and more.

Employment & Business Services

TESH, Inc. provides Production Services including Piece Work and Assembly, Shredding, Document Management, Packaging, and Bulk Mailing at a cost efficient rates. This work provides opportunities for job skill development, meaningful work and commensurate wages for individuals who work in the Vocational Center at TESH. TESH also matches the needs of local businesses with client skill sets to provide cost effective labor solutions at the employer's business location. An employment specialist will work with you to identify your labor need, and coordinate qualified applicants for placement in your business. TESH has successfully placed individuals in Manufacturing, Retail, Restaurants, and Service industries.

History:
TESH Inc. is a nationally accredited rehabilitation organization that assists people who are disabled and/or disadvantaged to achieve their highest level of independence. Since 1976, this community-based non-profit has provided essential services to over 7000 individuals.

Originally established as an employment training facility for adults living with a developmental disability, TESH has expanded its focus to address an increasing need in the community. Today TESH has three main program areas including Children Programs, Independent Living Classes, and Employment Services.
