Coeur D'Alene Ironman

Each year, thousands of volunteers commit their time and resources to Ironman Triathlons. In recognition of their vital support, the Ironman Foundation, a non-profit 501c3 organization, was established. The Ironman Foundation provides charitable support to other non-profit organizations in the communities where Ironman, Iron Girl & Ironkids events are held. The Ironman Foundation is devoted to improving lives and communities in the United States through donations to other non-profit organizations responsible for the health, well-being and care of citizens in need.

Description:
WTC / Ironman Volunteers support the Ironman Triathlon that is held in Coeur D'Alene Idaho every June (this year, June 21, 2009).
The Ironman Triathlon is an event that is limited to 17 hours and consists of: 2.4 mile swim / 112 mile bike ride / 26.2 mile run.
The volunteers come together to support and cheer on these amazing athletes. Some who have over-come some amazing obstacles in their lives.

History:
Ironman Coeur d'Alene is enjoying our 7th year. Each year becomes more amazing and more energetic.
