Bereaved Parents of the USA offers support, care and compassion for Bereaved Parents, Siblings and Grandparents following the death of a child at any age, from any cause.

Description:
Bereaved Parents of the USA is a nationwide organization designed to aid and support bereaved parents and their families to survive their grief after the death of a child as they struggle.
Any bereaving parent, sibling or grandparent is eligible to become a member of BP/USA. Members are free to attend monthly support meetings as often and as long as necessary to meet their needs. We publish a monthly newsletter at no cost. We have two memorial events per year: August Butterfly Release and Picnic and December Candle Lighting Memorial and dinner. We have no paid employees, we all volunteer in honor of our deceased children.

History:
Our local chapter was founded in 1981 as The Couer d'Alene Chapter of The Compassionate Friends then converted to the Coeur d'Alene Chapter of Bereaved Parents of the USA around 2001.
