Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Do you like helping your local community? Are you looking for ways to get involved? TESH is the place for you!!! We are actively seeking volunteers to serve on our Fund Development Board. The primary responsibility of this group is to help create awareness around the issue of Developmental Disabilities. Members will help recruit “tourists” for our monthly Pathways to Independence tours. Members will also help plan and implement some of the fundraising activities throughout the year, including the Hangover Handicap Fun Run on New Years Day and the Pathways to Independence Benefit Breakfast in October. Members will also get an opportunity to interact with clients during community activities.

The Fund Development Board will work closely with the Director of Development. The time commitment for this group depends on the time of year and the amount of fundraising activities planned for any given month. Regular monthly meetings will be held in addition to the once a month tours. No previous marketing or fundraising experience required, just the desire to help others.

Training will depend on your level of interest. All members will be asked to attend an orientation meeting and tour. If you are interested in volunteering with our clients, additional training is required by the Idaho Dept. of Health and Welfare.
