Are you outgoing and friendly with deep compassion and patience? Are you interested in people, prepared to meet any person with any problem/need and help them in any way you can? Do you have two (2) or more hours of time in a day, Monday through Friday, to commit to helping people?
If you fit this description, we are looking for YOU to help clients discover success as they come into the H.E.L.P. Center seeking answers. An intuitive ability to read people and creative problem solving skills are also helpful, though not required. Client Confidentiality is high priority.

Volunteers will:

  1. Become familiar will all agencies serving at the H.E.L.P. Center;
  2. Greet and sign in clients at the door;
  3. Seat waiting clients and ensure the proper paperwork is filled out correctly and completely while they wait;
  4. Guide clients to each agency for which they have come;
  5. Personally connect clients and agency representatives together; and
  6. Encourage clients to seek every benefit available to them within the H.E.L.P. Center.

Application/Interview/Background Screenings will be conducted. Training will be provided.

 In Coeur d'Alene: Travel SOUTH of I-90 on Government Way to Spokane Avenue. Turn left and go 1 block. Parking lot is on SE corner of Spokane Avenue and 1st Street. -OR- Take 4th Street (Exit 13) off I-90 and travel SOUTH to Spokane Avenue (about 10 blocks ---- 1 block before street light). Turn right and go 1 1/2 blocks. Turn left into parking lot. (Grey concrete building/Formerly CDA Library)
  Nearest Bus Stop: Fourth Street and Foster Avenue, 5 minute walk
