Description:
The CMH Foundation provides administration and fundraising services support the Center for Mental Health. The CMH is one of four mental health centers in Montana that serves a thirteen county region along the I-15 corridor from Havre to Whitehall. It provides outpatient mental health services in 10 clinics which includes psychiatric assessment, therapy, case management and group therapy; therapeutic group homes, day treatment centers in four communities, Program for Assertive Community Treatment in Great Falls and Helena, crisis stabilization and crisis response team in Helena, comprehensive school-based services in East Helena and Great Falls and Peer Support services in Great Falls and soon in Helena.

History:
The Center, formerly known as Golden Triangle Center for Mental Health, was established in 1974 in the nine counties around Great Falls called the "Golden Triangle" because of its wheat production. In 1997 the Center began providing services to Lewis & Clark, Broadwater and Jefferson counties and later Meagher county. CMH is a private non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization supported by client fees, contracts with state agencies, county contributions, corporate donations and gifts from private citizens. The Center provides over $2 million dollars of unreimbursed services or "Charity Care" annually.
