Good Samaritan Ministries promotes Catholic social justice teachings to support family life in our communities and enhance human dignity. We provide services to meet the physical health, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals and families of all faiths and beliefs.

Description:
Good Samaritan Ministries is a nonprofit agency as well as the largest thrift store in the Helena and surrounding communities. The store brings in a wide range of donated items and also makes truck pick up appointments to collect donated items. Once items come into the store, they are prepared to either be sold or even vouchered out to people who cannot afford them. The store also sends clothing to become recycled or donated to people in Guatamala. Our Assistance Ministry also helps people in the community with rent, utility bills, & prescriptions. We also help people who need household items, infant necessities, and gas for medical appointments.

History:
Good Samaritan Ministries serves as the social justice arm of the Diocese of Helena and Helena's four Catholic parishes. We have been serving the people of Helena and its surrounding communities for over twenty years. We also rely heavily on volunteers to help keep our store organized and appealing to customers. We have plenty of volunteer opportunities ranging from pairing shoes up, putting away carts,bagging purchases, organizing clothing, cleaning up shelves, bundeling items, helping bring in donated items, performing clerical tasks, and many other enjoyable tasks.
