Montana Veterans Foundation
Montana Veterans Foundation provides housing and comprehensive support for homeless veterans.
Description:
Veterans Foundation operates Willis Cruse House, a transitional living facility for homeless veterans. We offer a comprehensive program to assist veterans in achieving self-sufficiency. By providing housing, case management, group therapy, life skills training, mentors, vocational and social skills assistance our goal is to help homeless veterans achieve holistic recovery and reintegrate into society. MVF also offers referral services and participates in the Hunger & Homeless Task Force. MVF is a United Way member organization. We are seeking mentors and life skills leaders for our residential program. We have found that these two areas of our program are vital to the recovery of our residents. Founded in 1998 during a veteran suicide crisis, Montana Veterans Foundation was first located in a 6-bed facility. In 2004 we moved to a 12-bed facility on Leslie Avenue, where we continue to provide comprehensive support and assistance to veterans in need.
