Each young mom at Florence Crittenton's Center for Pregnant and Parenting Teens is working a treatment program that will help them to find success as independent, and most often single, moms in the community. One of the skills they will need to achieve success, of course, is to find safe and reliable baby sitters who can care for their children when they need to be at appointments or activities that cannot include kids. There are two different volunteer baby sitters programs at Florence Crittenton. The Group-Time Baby Sitters Program is one in which volunteers commit to a regular schedule (approximately 2 hours, one afternoon per week). The "On Call" Baby Sitters Program is more flexible, according to personal needs. In this program the day, or days, you agree to be on call are entirely up to you, and can change each month.
All baby-sitting volunteers will be required to file a complete application, including criminal and child protective services background checks. Baby sitters must be 18 years old, or accompanied by an adult. Baby sitters agree to baby sit at Florence Crittenton.
