The goal of the Marathon County Alcohol & Other Drugs Partnership Council is to initiate, facilitate, and coordinate efforts towards the elimination of the misuse and abuse of alcohol and other substances by people of all ages.

The Marathon County Alcohol & Other Drugs Partnership Council, formed in 1988, partners with many community agencies and individuals to organize multiple community alcohol and other drug prevention activities.

Monthly meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month from 11:30-12:30 p.m., at 212 River Drive, Wausau, for the purpose of providing a forum for networking and learning abuse substance abuse services and programs offered in our community and planning substance abuse prevention activities. There are three current committees--Program and Events (develop and promote events related prevention, intervention, and recovery); Finance and Grants (maintain financing and grants); and Human Resources (maintain appropriate representation from the community).

Community participation and support is vital to help prevent substance abuse in our community. There are several ways community members can become involved with the Marathon County Alcohol & Other Drugs Partnership Council.
