The mission of Wausau Metro Adult Special Olympics is to provide year-round and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for persons 18 years of age or older with cognitive disabilities.

Description:
Wausau Metro Adult Special Olympics gives our athletes continued opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, and other Special Olympics athletes and community.

Sporting events include: basketball, bowling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, track and field, and bocce.

Social functions include: end-of-season banquets, ice cream social during the annual Balloon Rally, summer picnic, Brewer game outing and a Christmas party.

Other functions: Brat Frys, concessions for the Home Show in April, and other fundraisers.
