Ok, so this is currently an unofficial project "in the works" between Good News Project and Randlin Homes/New Hope Thrift Store. We thought it would be really neat to have a community garden that was created to help feed the hungry in Wausau and so we started one on Good News property. We currently need some consistent help with weeding and mulching. Soon enough the peas, beans, and swiss chard will be ready to harvest so we will need help with harvesting and distribution.
You have to enjoy gardening to be a part of this opportunity! We are looking for people who can bend, crouch and weed! A little common sense is needed in order to differentiate the weed from the vegetable. We have folks who can help you identify the plants to if you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach! Also folks may need to do very limited lifting. This opportunity is sponsored by: Good News Project
