Description:
The AIMS official mission statement is: To stimulate, enhance and nurture an inviting atmosphere for civic, cultural, social and economic activities in downtown Anderson.
History:
AIMS was formed in 2002. They have focused on 'bringing people downtown' through festivals and activities. They have hosted the Little 500 Car Show for 7 years, which is constantly growing. They also have hosted the Cultural Festival for 3 and had the largest attendance and entertainment variety in 2009. They have also had a wide variety of other requested such as Super Saturdays, Farmer's Markets, Winterfest and Lunch on the Lawn. AIMS also has a wide variety of information such as Downtown Business Directories, Web Page full of information on downtown art & cultural sites and activities, and City department's directory.
