Soak in the holiday decor and turn-of-the-century surroundings by hosting a room during our Christmas Open House. The open house runs Fri-Sun, November 20-23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Room hosts are needed to sit in each room and greet guests as they tour through the decorated home. You will be responsible to make sure none of the historical items or decorations are disturbed. Two or four hour shifts are available. Volunteers may tour the full open house and enjoy a piece of cake after their shift. This is one of our biggest fund raisers of the year. The proceeds help us pay the utility bills through the winter season. A friendly disposition is helpful. Volunteers assigned to upstairs rooms will need to climb stairs. Please advise us if you cannot climb stairs. Volunteers are asked to wear a white shirt and black slacks if possible. Nametags will be provided. This opportunity is sponsored by: Hormel Historic Home
