The Mission of Mother-to-Mother Ministry is to provide a network of friendship and resources to enhance a mother's potential through education, fellowship and spiritual enrichment.
Description:
Our ministry works to build teams of intentional friendships between women. Our volunteers gain a greater understanding of awareness of the challenges mothers and their families face in our community. As friendships grow, the life of each team member is nourished and enriched. We see remarkable progress in their lives and appreciate supporters like you for helping us to make this happen. Each month the mothers attend an educational meeting called Reflections. We also offer a bible study series called "Beauty for Ashes". We are not church affiliated, however our greatest support is from local churches. We offer support groups, help with clothing, school supplies, Christmas assistance, toiletries, and much more. We always welcome support from individuals that will listen and simply offer the encouragement our mothers need to make the difference in their lives and in the lives of their children.
History:
Mother to Mother Ministry was established in 1991 to help low-income mothers break through the poverty cycle. In the past, over 1000 mothers in need have discovered this organization and its eagerness to help them. Mother to Mother is a ecumenical, faith-based ministry that uses volunteers to reach across economic and cultural barriers that separate mothers.
