Position title: Board Connections Position
Description: Operating Goals of the Board
The board's operating goals is the promotion of family life and the
creation of community which crosses the boundaries caused by
differences of culture, race, economics, and social status, age and
religion. It is built on the premise that supportive friendships
enable better parenting. It also promotes the ideal that the
community of Benton County, Arkansas as a whole is strengthened when
groups that ordinarily would not come together interact with the goal
of promoting family.

How Mother-to-Mother Ministry works in Northwest Arkansas

Organization
Our board is composed of local professional and interested people who
have joined together to do the important mission of
promoting "family". The commitment of the board is for three years
based upon availability. The Director of MtMM help the board succeed
in the task of helping empower moms and their children.

Operation of MtMM
Our unique niche in this community is recruitment, encouragement,
support, education and spiritual enrichment for a network of
volunteers who need each other. We do not provide financial support.
We major in "people helping people" through supportive relationships.
Our desire is to provide opportunities for a support mother to help a
partner mother succeed and a partner mother to help a support mother
to grow and be transformed by the experience.
Board members are encouraged to get involved and participate in
activities of our teams such as the annual Christmas Party, Picnic,
Reflection meetings, School Supply Distribution, and outings with the
Moms and Kids.

Board Operations
Our board meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each mother at
6:30pm in the Conference room at 1104 S. Walton Blvd in Bentonville.
We operate by the consensus method. Board meetings have the following
format: prayer, testimonial, previous meeting minute's approval,
treasurer's report, coordinators reports, committee reports, old
business, new business, and date/time of next meeting and closing
with the Lord's Prayer.
