Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on November 10, 2009 |
A rewarding way to serve your community is to volunteer a couple of hours per week helping an adult learn to read, or improve his or her reading and writing skills. Our tutors are matched with a student as a "tutor pair" that meets on a day and time that is agreeable to both. The tutoring is done at our facility in Fayetteville and sessions can be scheduled anytime between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. Our tutors must be over 18 and complete a tutor certification process that involves a half-day workshop and six additional hours of student specific training that takes place over the first six months of tutoring. This opportunity is sponsored by: Ozark Literacy Council, Inc.
We need volunteers who are free at these times
