Assists the Disability-Community Specialist (DCS) with the supervision of volunteer workers and helps provide direction, coordination, and consultation for certain volunteer functions within the Agency to help strengthen Head Start programs and to involve a community of supporters by performing the following duties:
- Provide support to the Disability/Community Specialist (DCS) with regard to volunteer management.
- Assists with the maintenance of accurate volunteer participation records.
- Helps promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the Agency.
- Activate members of the community to participate in activities, which directly empower and assist Head Start families.
- Work directly with volunteers.
- Participate in information sessions, trainings and outreach efforts.
- Coordinate mailings and events associated with the office.
