Cerro Gordo & Franklin Co. Unmet Needs/Long-Term Recovery Committee

To strengthen area-wide disaster coordination in Cerro Gordo and Franklin Counties and in north central Iowa by sharing information, by simplifying resident access to resources, by jointly resoling cases with unmet needs and by serving as community advocates.

Disaster: Flood, tornado, or designated windstorm that affects multiple households.
Unmet Need: A disaster-caused unmet need that a household cannot provide for themselves that may include financial assistance and labor.
Disaster Assistance: Is intended only to restore or to provide essential living space and not an upgrade of previous living conditions.

This 501(C)3 was established after the summer floods of 2008.
