Mason City Youth Task Force

Vision: Youth and Adults working together to build a Healthy Community for Healthy Youth.
Mission: To coordinate and facilitate collaborative community initiatives that impact the lives of young people. We coordinate the One On One Mentoring Project, Voyagers After School Program for Middle School, Youth Action Teams and YIELD programs with the high school, Promise Teams with adults and various other events and activities.

Description:
Our purpose is to asses the health of the community, to coordinate existing resources and to create new resources to meet needs by focusing on prevention-related youth issues.

History:
The Mason City Youth Task Force is a community prevention coalition operating under the City of Mason City since 1994. Volunteers representing 30+ organizations as well as individual youth and parents, help assess, plan, and implement strategies identified in the community prevention plan.
