SDCH's reputation for quality patient care has been built on the foundation of our excellent staff:
Physicians
Comprised of contracted physicians with medical specialties that meet the specific needs of long term acute care patients. The Hospital welcomes referring physicians who meet accreditation requirements to request staff privileges.
Nurses
Including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs who provide 24-hour care to patients. Our nursing staff provides restorative, skilled, outstanding professional and personalized care, and a variety of other services.
Respiratory Therapists
Highly trained, licensed practitioners who provide 24-hour comprehensive respiratory services. These services include the management of ventilator-dependent patients and the progressive rehabilitative care of patients requiring life support technology.
Rehabilitative Team
Using a multi-disciplinary team approach, each patient receives a specific program of aggressive rehabilitation which includes defined goals and regular monitoring and training. This team is comprised of licensed physical, speech, and occupational therapists who provide the rehabilitative services needed to improve our patients' physical and cognitive abilities.
Additional Expert Staff
Including social workers, recreation therapists, dietitian, and specialists offering such services as patient and family counseling, financial resource planning, recreational programs, individual nutritional care, and a wide variety of volunteer programs.
