The CSN Board of Directors meets monthly at the CSN main office in St. Paul. All Board members have a personal experience with a mental health diagnosis. Board members must demonstrate a commitment to the mission of CSN. In addition, all members are expected to participate actively in fulfilling the following board responsibilities: Establish and maintain the legal corporate existence of CSN; Establish general policies for CSN; Oversee fiscal management of CSN; Participate in planning for CSN and the Board; Evaluate Board, Administrative Director and Services programs; Maintain and build community relations; Select and retain administrator; Promote the mission and goals of CSN in the community; and Participate in support functions such as recruitment, orientation and education. Because Board meetings take place in St. Paul, Board members must have a valid driver's license and vehicle or another mode of transportation. We are looking for professionals with a personal experience with mental illness who are able to commit a minimum of five hours per month to CSN Board activities. Attendance at monthly Board meetings is required, and Board members must serve on at least one committee.
